2. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Wonderbound online store.
Wonderbound currently accepts orders exclusively for delivery to eligible addresses in the United States. We do not offer sales or delivery to consumers in Austria, the European Union, the European Economic Area, or other countries.
Customers must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract.
3. Products
Wonderbound sells personalized children’s books in the formats displayed on the relevant product page, including available softcover and hardcover editions.
Every book is made to order using the personalization information submitted by the customer.
Product images, digital previews, and mockups are provided for illustration. Minor differences between screen colors and printed colors, as well as minor variations in positioning or cropping, may occur. These variations do not affect the customer’s rights if the delivered product is defective or materially different from the confirmed order.
4. Personalization information
Customers must carefully review all names, spelling, selected options, book format, and shipping information before submitting an order.
Wonderbound is not responsible for errors contained in personalization information entered and approved by the customer.
The customer confirms that they are authorized to provide all names, images, and other content submitted for personalization. Information relating to a child may be submitted only by a parent, legal guardian, or another authorized adult.
The customer grants Wonderbound and its production partners limited permission to use the submitted information solely to create, produce, deliver, and support the ordered product. Personalization information will not be published or used in advertising without separate permission.
5. Orders and contract formation
Products and prices displayed in the store constitute an invitation to place an order.
By submitting an order, the customer makes a binding offer to purchase the selected personalized product.
An automated email acknowledging receipt of the order does not by itself constitute acceptance. The order is accepted when Wonderbound expressly confirms it, releases it for production, or dispatches the product, whichever occurs first.
Wonderbound may reject an order where:
-
Payment cannot be authorized
-
Required personalization information is missing
-
Submitted content is unlawful or infringes third-party rights
-
The product is unavailable
-
The delivery address is not eligible
-
An obvious pricing or technical error has occurred
If an order is rejected after payment has been collected, the payment will be refunded.
6. Prices, taxes, and payment
Prices are displayed in the currency shown in the store. The complete order total and any applicable taxes are displayed before the customer submits the order.
Standard shipping to eligible US addresses is free.
Payment must be successfully authorized before the order is released for production. Available payment methods are shown during checkout.
7. Production
Each book is personalized and produced specifically for the customer. Orders are reviewed and manually released to our production partner.
Production begins when the order is released to the production partner. Production and delivery estimates are displayed on the product page or during checkout.
8. Changes and cancellations
Customers must contact shop.wonderbound@gmail.com immediately if they wish to change or cancel an order.
Changes and voluntary cancellations are possible only before the order has been released for production. We cannot guarantee that a request received after ordering can still be completed.
Once production has started, the personalized order cannot be voluntarily changed or canceled. This does not exclude cancellation or refund rights that apply under mandatory law, including rights relating to significant shipping delays.
9. Shipping and delivery
Wonderbound currently ships only to eligible addresses in the United States.
Estimated production and delivery times are provided before purchase. Business days exclude weekends and relevant public holidays.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Address changes may no longer be possible after production or shipping arrangements have begun.
If we cannot ship within the timeframe promised at the time of purchase, we will provide an updated estimate and any cancellation or refund options required by applicable law.
Additional information is available in our Shipping Policy.
10. Returns, defects, and transport damage
Because every book is personalized and made to order, we do not accept voluntary returns or exchanges due to a change of mind, an incorrectly selected format, or personalization information entered incorrectly by the customer.
If a product arrives damaged, has suffered transport damage, contains a production defect, or does not match the confirmed order, the customer should contact shop.wonderbound@gmail.com promptly.
The customer should provide the order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the product and relevant packaging.
After reviewing the issue, Wonderbound will provide an appropriate remedy, normally a replacement at no additional cost or a refund.
Customers must not send unsolicited returns to Wonderbound, Gelato, a printing facility, or an address shown on the shipping package. Any necessary return must be authorized in advance and follow the provided instructions.
Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
11. Intellectual property
The Wonderbound name, branding, website content, book designs, illustrations, stories, and other materials belong to Wonderbound or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a product does not transfer intellectual property rights or grant permission to reproduce, distribute, resell, publish, or commercially exploit the product or its content.
12. AI-generated images and advertising content
All images and advertising content created and published by Wonderbound are generated or edited using artificial intelligence. This includes book illustrations, product mockups, lifestyle images, social media posts, promotional videos, and advertising copy.
AI-generated people, voices, scenes, and reactions are synthetic representations. They do not document actual customers, genuine customer experiences, or real endorsements. Photorealistic content should not be understood as photography or footage of actual events.
Product mockups and visual previews illustrate our personalized books. The product description, selected personalization options, and confirmed order determine what the customer purchases. AI-generated imagery does not limit our responsibility to deliver a product that matches the confirmed order or affect mandatory consumer rights.
Wonderbound reviews and approves its content before publication. Where required by applicable law, including Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU Artificial Intelligence Act), we provide clear disclosures identifying artificially generated or manipulated content at the point where it is displayed. This general notice supplements and does not replace content-specific disclosures.
13. Liability
Wonderbound is responsible for fulfilling customer orders and handling customer claims, even where production or delivery partners are used.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Wonderbound is not responsible for delays or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, but will continue to provide any remedies required by applicable law.
14. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Austrian law.
This choice of law does not deprive customers of mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of their place of residence.
Any mandatory rules determining where legal proceedings may be brought remain unaffected.
15. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
16. Changes to these terms
The version of these terms in effect when the customer submits an order applies to that purchase.
We may update these terms for future orders. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date.
